Are women slaves to these Neanderthals? No wonder women think men are disgusting pigs! Granted this doesn’t apply of all men; however, in our society, the majority of men have this kind of view of women. This person has no particular caring or desire to find out about the women he is looking for, so long as she has the qualities that are out lined in his quote. The relationship between men and women has always been a love-hate type. I wish to sieve through what a woman finds most annoying in her partner to put an end to the age old battle of the sexes. It would be very easy to put it down in a few simple points, but perhaps it is best to debate this topic by asking questions to metaphorically put the shoe on the other foot. If it is at all possible for men to do.

It seems as if the age old battle of the sexes isn’t so much a battle as a slaughter. It is little wonder why we women have bent over backwards for men for the past four thousand years or so. All men are the scum of the earth right? Well not all men are total scum bags, but it most defiantly is applicable to the vast majority of the male species. Most men have no desire to understand women; they are interested in only one thing… Lets trade shoes, if you will, from my point of view, an office co worker and your boy friend, husband, fiancée, etc. is just that, there of the two of them and nothing else. However form men’s view, the second we women do something like that we are cheating on them. Slaughter. This is preposterous! This double standard; this stupid battle of the sexes.

In a woman’s mind a relationship with a man is very delicate as we look for a strong shoulder to rest our head. We women like men who have a big heart and are ready to share, care etc. Relationships often fail; particularly if you show undue interest in other women when you are with some one. This is a behavior that disgust us and will definitely destroy any chance of the relationship working. Keeping these points in mind, you can see why women think me are hurtful creditors. Let’s face it men tend to think with their lower head more often than the proper one. Thus we have only a single use to them. This gender battle, war, or what ever is so stupid. If men would learn to be a little more caring than it wouldn’t be an issue, but how slim are the odds of that happening?

That is the problem, ,men simply don’t learn. They seem to be wired differently. Men seem to work like a ware house. The ware house is full of boxes, and in each box is one idea, and they can open all the boxes but only one at a time. Where as women work like a spool of copper wire. Ideas flow in mass in and out, fluid and all at once. This is what I think is the underling reason for why there is this confect. Men can’t keep up, and women can’t slow down: ie we can multi task, and men cant. It is silly the centuries wasted over such a simple concept. If women slow down a bit and men start to give a damn about their end of a relationship, the world will be better off in the future. As if that will happen, history repeats itself after all.

Will men ever begin to understand how women work? The simple answer is, no they can’t. It is impossible for men to understand women. We simply made from different recipes. Apples and oranges they are totally different, and yet they go good together, himmm. Maybe, just maybe if the apples and oranges could settle their differences, the world might be a better place for our future generations. However; realistically, how likely is this? Not so good in my opinion. The term minuscule comes to mind. It as it appears to me; men are physically unable to comprehend women ,due to the mental handicap of the one at a time process, and women can’t possibly slow down their minds enough for men to understand the complex infrastructure we have for a mind. Well the game of love is screwed. There is little hope for human relationships because of this little simple conflict.

What did I learn this semester… In all reality I think that the most important thing i learned this semester, was how far I could play with my writing voice. I thoroughly enjoyed paper 2; It gave me the opportunity to expound upon what little writing techniques I obtained throughout high school. Before this class, I frequently would describe in beyond minute detail what was happening in my work, but now, the words that flow from my pen have become the paint brush for the readers imagination. This not only makes my writing more effective, but easier to read as well. This gained attribute was to my benefit throughout my last semester at Golden High School.

If what is written flows from the writer’s heart; than this class has made me a better person as a whole. Maybe it is just my high school graduation approaching, but I have been reflecting upon my pas t 18 years on the is little blue marble in the cosmos.  I found through these reflections, a new sence of self, a new me if you will.

This couse has allowed me to play with my physical voice beyond writing. because of paper 2 and the ‘gender’  complaint topic, I can understand the opposite sex and where women stand on different things. simple understanding, a shift in perspective, has allowed for me to look at every thing in  a new light. I was transfigured by this cource.

ba 10 FIRE

Element fire

fire has been the center of tail and folklore in every culture around the globe scene the berth of man.,

role in the past
how fire was brought to man varies from culture to culture. However the Greek mythology makes for a good mediator. According to the Greeks…
Zeus sent most of the Titans to Tartarus [see Hades' Realm] to punish them for fighting against him in the Titanomachy, but since second-generation Titan Prometheus had not sided with his aunts, uncles, and brother Atlas, Zeus spared him. Zeus then assigned Prometheus the task of forming man from water and earth, which Prometheus did, but in the process, became fonder of men than Zeus had anticipated. Zeus didn’t share Prometheus’ feelings and wanted to prevent men from having power, especially over fire. Prometheus cared more for man than for the wrath of the increasingly powerful and autocratic king of the gods, so he stole fire from Zeus’ lightning, concealed it in a hollow stalk of fennel, and brought it to man. The next stage in Prometheus’ career as benefactor of mankind came when Zeus and he were developing the ceremonial forms for animal sacrifice. The astute Prometheus devised a sure-fire way to help man. He divided the slaughtered animal parts into two packets. In one was the ox-meat and innards wrapped up in the stomach lining. In the other packet were the ox-bones wrapped up in its own rich fat. One would go to the gods and the other to the humans making the sacrifice. Prometheus presented Zeus with a choice between the two, and Zeus took the deceptively richer appearing: the fat-encased, but inedible bones. As a result of Prometheus’ trick, for ever after, whenever man sacrificed to the gods, he would be able to feast on the meat, so long as he burned the bones as an offering for the gods. http://ancienthistory.about.com/cs/grecoromanmyth1/a/prometheus.htm

So we did not invent fire. We captured (stole, seduced, tricked, pried, wrested) it away from nature. (hence the mythology) This was a profound moment for the natural history of the Earth because it changed how and where fire worked. Natural fire is lumpy. Naturally ignited fire occurs in patches and pulses, driven by a two-cycle climatic engine of wetting and drying, shaped by the kinds of biomass that may or may not thrive under such a regime, waiting on lightning’s lottery to kindle. Much of the Earth doesn’t burn. It is too wet, too icy, too sparsely vegetated. Over much of early Earth history the mix so often failed to kindle that vast quantities of biomass were simply buried. Nature’s economy, in brief, lacked a broker that could match flame with fuel.
(We didn’t invent fire as we did things to make and use it, like candles and matches. It was already out there–has been on the planet for at least 400 million years. And it will outlive us, all of our monuments, all our words. When the Earth itself ends, it will likely do so in a flash of solar fire. But fire’s Earthly origins were far less explosive.) http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m0GER/is_1999_Winter/ai_58458600/

conclusion

Fire can be a friendly, comforting thing, a source of heat and light, as anyone who has ever sat by a campfire in the dark of night knows. Yet fire can also be dangerous and deadly, racing and leaping like a living thing to consume all in its path. In mythology, fire appears both as a creative, cleansing force and as a destructive, punishing one, although positive aspects of fire generally outweigh negative ones.
Fire is the god gift of man, the mediator of to opposites. Both creation and destruction are reared as inevitable after berths once anything is adorned in flame.

A fundamental principle of Greek philosophy and alchemy is that a Conjunction of Opposites requires some mediating factor, a mean to unite the extremes. Air is an important mediating Element because it unites the opposites Fire and Water, the key alchemical process. Here I will simply observe that Air can mediate between them because it has Warmth in common with Fire and Moisture in common with Water, so it forms a bridge between them. However their was a fifth element…
Aether. In Greek mythologyGreek mythology comprises the collected legends of Greek gods and goddesses and ancient heroes and heroines, originally created and spread within an oral-poetic tradition. Our surviving sources of mythology are either transcriptions of this spoken word, o, was the personification of the “upper sky”, space and heaven.
He is the pure, upper air that the gods breathe, as opposed to “aer”, which mortals breathed. He was the son of ErebusIn Greek mythology, Erebus or rebos was a primordial god, personification of darkness, offspring of Chaos alone. He was brother of Nyx and father of Aether by himself and, with Nyx, Hemera, Moros, Charon, Eros and the Keres.

According to some later legend and NyxIn Greek mythology, Nyx was the primordial goddess of the night. Nyx in Hesiod In Hesiod’s Theogony, Night is born of Chaos; her offspring are many, and telling. With her brother Erebus, Night gives birth to Aether (“atmosphere”) and Hemera (“day”). Later, and brother of HemeraIn Greek mythology, Hemera was a primordial goddess, born of Erebus. She was the goddess of the daytime. Hemera’s sister, Nyx, was the goddess of the night. Hemera left Tartarus just as Nyx entered it; when Hemera returned, Nyx left. Thalassa, the primord. He is the soul of the world and all life emanates from him. The aether was also known as Zeus defensive wall; the bound that locked Tartaros from the cosmos. In myth this was how wind was used, but back in reality, wind has been used for centuries.

Sailboats and sailing ships have been using wind power for at least 5,500 years, and architects have used wind-driven natural ventilation in buildings since similarly ancient times. The use of wind to provide mechanical power came somewhat later in antiquity. Ancient Sinhalese had made considerable use of monsoon winds. Steel Smelting Furnaces along with samples of steel has been found by archeologists in Anuradhapura and other cities The furnaces were constructed on the path of the monsoon winds to exploit the wind power, to bring the temperatures inside up to 1100-1200 Celsius. The required temperature to smelt steel.

As the 21st century began, fossil fuel was still relatively cheap, but rising concerns over energy security, global warming, and eventual fossil fuel depletion led to an expansion of interest in all available forms of renewable energy. The fledgling commercial wind power industry began expanding at a robust growth rate of about 30% per year, driven by the ready availability of large wind resources, and falling costs due to improved technology and wind farm management. The steady run-up in oil prices after 2003 led to increasing fears that peak oil was imminent, further increasing interest in commercial wind power. Even though wind power generates electricity rather than liquid fuels, and thus is not an immediate substitute for petroleum in most applications (especially transport), fears over petroleum shortages only added to the urgency to expand wind power. Earlier oil shocks had already caused many utility and industrial users of petroleum to shift to coal or natural gas. Natural gas began having its own supply problems, and wind power showed potential for replacing natural gas in electricity generation.

Why Are Men Such Animals?

“Hello ladies, a little bit about myself. I graduated from Duke University a couple years ago. I have a great job which pays incredibly, a Lexus, and an apartment which is filling out very nicely. I’ve been wanting to buy a house, but there is one thing missing, my thin, beautiful trophy wife on my arm. You should be athletic (I run five miles every day, rain or shine) and your fat ass will not be sitting on the couch. You should be intelligent enough to hold a conversation in polite company, but know your place, and when it is appropriate to speak. You should know how to cook, because I am tired of ordering in, and going out every night. My mom has already said that she’d be happy to show you how to cook some of my favorite meals. You can be college educated, however you won’t be working anyhow, so I don’t see how it matters. Unless of course you studied home-making. Be sure to send a full body photo of yourself, clothing optional.” Unknown blog entry found on (www.ecollegetimes.com 1).
“I have CUCUMBERS and Corn and other toys, for any local women that are interested.” (www.ecollegetimes.com 2). Unknown
“I am a 56 year old male. I have decided to get a vasectomy next month and I would like to impregnate a woman before I have this procedure done. It would behoove you to act quickly for maximum exposure to my sperm. I will only do this naturally without condoms. If your husband can’t do the job, I can.”( www.ecollegetimes.com 3). Unknown

How would you feel if you see your man with another woman enjoying a cup of coffee at the coffee shop around the street corner? Chances are, if your were in her place, you would feel a sense of jealousy, even if the woman is just an office colleague who just wanted to feel a little relaxed, and your would begin to question your entire relationship. This is just an example and hundreds more can be cited. Any relationship can and should survive just on one sentence, “Trust me and I will never let you down.” If you really mean it, this can be the foundation of any relationship.

Now imagine you are on a first date and he, like the quote guy, starts talking about the amount of money that he has made in the stock markets or the new Lexis that he has bought. I am sure more often than not a woman would not like to hear about these things on the first date, because they know what it eventually leads to the end of the quote, and with them being just another toy to please the “MAN”.

It didn’t always be this way, before the Women’s Liberation movement in the Fifties in England, generally the main goal of women in society was to get married to a handsome young man, live in and keep a house, and have a lot of children. This was their greatest achievement, but post Women’s Liberation movement, women became dissatisfied with the role of the lonely house wife, and desired for the destruction of the “natural oppressors”(www.geocities.com/ How The Women’s Movement Taught Women to Hate Men 1) which led to the inevitable after berth of promiscuous clothing and the denial of all things masculine No Tonka trucks, no boys toys – nothing that could encourage a boy to think of himself as masculine. The whole idea of men and masculinity… we considered disgusting.(www.geocities.com/ How The Women’s Movement Taught Women to Hate Men 2) I realize the Women’s Liberation movement is a radical group of “militant lesbians” but they do have a point, we guys do tend to “oppress” women into being something they aren’t.

Well sis it is important to understand your changing language. For example, the words you may use around me and dad is different than the words you may use around your friends or gymnastics coaches. Knowing the right words to say and when is a valuable skill, particularly later in life. You wouldn’t want to anger your boss at a job, or upset one of your friends. Either case ends up wit some one being hurt. Thats why you need to learn when to hold your tongue.

Sister

It is important to understand and be aware of your own use of language in the work place. As an employer, I demand respect that I have earned. Sure we live in a free nation; however, that won’t protect you from the consequences of your words. I’ll let you off the hook this time, but I don’t want to hear any sass out of you, or you will be fired!

Is Black Black?

.                      History has shown when a government oppresses it’s people, the people will eventually revolt. Two great men, in American

history have proven this;  Barack Hussein Obama and Martin Luther King Jr. These great men, these pioneers of change, shared more than skin

color. The desire to better their fellow man and their fight against injustice in the status quo are just a couple of similarities, in addition to some

contrasts that must be taken in to account before the following question can be answered. Is Barack Hussein Obama, the Luther King Jr. of our

time.

During the 2008 presidential elections, Barack Hussein Obama gave a speech entitled “ A More Perfect Union” . This speech set the

tone of his campaign, much in a similar way to how Martin Luther King jr.’s “I Have a Dream” speech set the tone for the civil rights movement…

One of Martin Luther King jr.’s more famous lines is, “But one hundred years later, the Negro still is not free. One hundred years later, the life of

the Negro is still sadly crippled by the manacles of segregation and the chains of discrimination. One hundred years later, the Negro lives on a

lonely island of poverty in the midst of a vast ocean of material prosperity. One hundred years later, the Negro is still languishing in the corners

of American society and finds himself an exile in his own land. So we have come here today to dramatize a shameful condition.” (I have a dream

1)
Ad midst all the figurative language, the point is clear, form 1863 to 1963, Blacks in America had made little progress beyond the

property mentality. Much in the same way Barack Hussein Obama, hit the same nail on the head 23 years later when he said, “ This was one of

the tasks we set forth at the beginning of this campaign – to continue the long march of those who came before us, a march for a more just, more

equal, more free, more caring and more prosperous America. I chose to run for the presidency at this moment in history because I believe

deeply that we cannot solve the challenges of our time unless we solve them together – unless we perfect our union by understanding that we

may have different stories, but we hold common hopes; that we may not look the same and we may not have come from the same place, but we

all want to move in the same direction – towards a better future for our children and our grandchildren. ”( A More Perfect Union 1)

A distinct difference between Barack Hussein Obama, and Martin Luther King jr. was what they set out to accomplish with their

speeches. Barack Hussein Obama said in his speech “But race is an issue that I believe this nation cannot afford to ignore right now. We would be

making the same mistake that Reverend Wright made in his offending sermons about America – to simplify and stereotype and amplify the

negative to the point that it distorts reality.”( A More Perfect Union 4) How far has America really come if Barack Hussein Obama can’t be judged

on his character but on that of his pastor’s? Didn’t Martin Luther King jr., at the hight of the civil rights movement, say “ I have a dream that my

four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.” (I

have a dream 2)

In all of these quotes, both men express a need for a change in the society of their time. However, Unlike Barack Hussein Obama,

Martin Luther King jr. , in his speeches, tried to correct the injustice of racism in his time. Whereas Barack Hussein Obama with his speech, tried

and succeeded only in distancing him self form the very injustices of racism that Martin Luther King jr. set out to destroy. Is Barack Hussein

Obama, the Martin Luther King jr. of our time? No simply for the reason that Martin Luther King jr. changed the way people are thought of,

Barack Hussein Obama only segregated himself form the root of the problem. How Ironic.

BA4 Writing Process

Writing is like the pen itself. all parts of the pen have to work together . silly as it may sound, the pen is the best analogy for writing . Soothe like ink, ridged like the casing, and sharp like the point. Bottom line, writing is a fluid process, with no real beginning, or end it simply flows. For my self this metaphor best describes my writing process, simply for the fact that it flows, is ridged, and has a point.

A built in shock proof shit detector! Writing is best described by the previous clause simply because every writer needs one, and every reader has one. if a writer approaches a work with this in mind as well as any other rituals they may have they stand a better chance of accomplishing, all the things an introduction is supposed to do. This for me is the best way to find my writing style because if it isn’t believable it doesn’t matter if it is true or not. This concept is aseptically applicable to the informal essay. Particularly when the essay is so long  that the reader doesn’t realize the topic until about half way through..

Process, Process, Process!!! taking this approach to writing is like a computer program, every action makes a the same result. My style is on the opposite end of the spectrum. It is fluid, crisp, and to the point. As my middle school teacher once said, ” When writing anything, make it long enough to keep the topic covered, but short enough to keep things interesting”

Fluidness; For myself this is important aspect of my writing style, because the transitions between, sentences,  paragraphs, pages, etc. is almost more important than the words themselves. Transitions between sentences, these allow the reader to make scene of what the writer is trying to communicate.  If the reader can’t comprehend than the rest of the work is worthless. Transitions between paragraphs allows the reader to contemplate where the rest of the work is headed, or develop their own opinion – thoughts on what the work is about. Transitions between pages and etc., these allow the reader to understand the deeper meaning of what the writer is trying to communicate.

crispness; I think of crispness as  the “motor” of what ever work I am doing. Just as a motor has several complex parts, a writing work has them as well. crispness is how well the parts mesh together to make one solid, functioning, whole. Unlike transistions, and fluidness, crispness is the locking into place of each of the componentsof the work insted of how they interact with each other.
